At the heart of great leadership is a strong sense of responsibility—and for Joe Muschello, that sense of responsibility carries through both his professional and personal life. As Director of Field Services at Advancing Eyecare Services, Joe leads with the same commitment and focus he brings to being a husband, a dad to a 16-year-old daughter, and a PADI-certified Divemaster. He lives in Ft. Myers, Florida, a community deeply connected to the water, and spends his free time fishing and boating, often drawing lessons from the quiet patience and precision required in both activities.

Since joining the company in 2023, Joe has been instrumental in elevating the performance, professionalism, and responsiveness of our service operations. From hands-on equipment installation and repairs to leading large technical teams, he has developed a deep understanding of what it takes to maintain and service sophisticated ophthalmic systems.

With more than 20 years of experience in the ophthalmic and medical device industries, Joe knows what it takes to deliver high-performance service. For him, success starts with accountability.

“Accountability has always been a cornerstone of my work,” Joe says. At Advancing Eyecare Services, he emphasizes clear expectations and open communication. By deploying systems that align technical performance with service outcomes, Joe ensures that every team member understands how their work impacts the customer experience. We start every service interaction with a conversation – not just about what’s broken, but about how the issue is affecting their day-to-day operations. We also follow up after every service visit to confirm satisfaction and ask for feedback. That gives us a real-time pulse on what’s working and where we can improve.
